Love it!
Love it so far! It is a good hobby for me to keep my mind busy.
This is the easy way to get that modern lettering look you've seen in Instagram and Pinterest. Let me teach you my method of Faux Calligraphy.
In the Creative Lettering Journal you will find guides for practicing the entire lowercase and uppercase faux calligraphy alphabet. With the book and the accompanying video tutorial I'll teach you how to make your lettering look like modern calligraphy. Then you can enjoy practicing your new skill by creating and tracing beautiful lettering designs.
I use meaningful quotes about gratitude throughout this book, and lettering them has become such a relaxing mindfulness practice for me. I can't wait for you to try it!
During one of the most challenging times of my life, I found lettering and it saved me.
It gave me an escape, a creative outlet and a reason to look for positivity. I clung to the inspiration that I would write and re-write as I practiced and it brought so much joy to my life!
I want you to experience this too, which is how the Creative Lettering Journal was born…
Here's what's included:
In the Creative Lettering Journal, you will find step-by-step directions for how to make your lettering look like modern calligraphy. Start with my detailed alphabet guide and then practice by tracing finished lettered designs using affirmations of gratitude.
This is a great resource for learning and practicing your hand lettering and would make a great gift!
The backs of the coloring pages are blank so you can pull them out to frame if you’d like to – each one has faint dotted lines around 3 sides to make it easy to cut it down to 8×10 size and frame. If you’re not going to remove it, that blank backside is a great place for more journaling or lettering practice.
Follow along in your book as I walk you through the full alphabet in a video tutorial!
This tutorial will give you a view into how I create each letter. You'll receive a video invite after your book purchase, and you can watch the material as many times as you want.
For Faux Calligraphy you can use any type of writing utensil: pen or pencil or even a brush pen. This pen set that comes with the bundle is great for beginners!
If you follow me on Instagram you've seen me use several different brand markers and pens, but my go to has to be these Faber-Castell Pitt pens. I like these so much, the colors are fun (I carry more in my shop!) and these can be used for both faux calligraphy and for brush pen calligraphy when you're ready.
I have used so many different brands of tracing paper, some cheap stuff and even really expensive vellum...and I'd take this paper over ANY of them.
I searched and searched for the perfect paper for lettering and finally found what I like, so I've created my own pad with what I believe is the best out there.
Put it side-by-side with any other brand, this stuff lays flatter and is easier to trace on. I just love it!

I picked these out for my husband to give to me for Christmas. He hasn’t don’t too well in the past, so this year I know I’ll get gifts I love!!
These journals are so well thought out, and I love being able to practice each affirmation in multiple lettering styles. As a woman of faith, these little moments of light in my day calm my stress and remind me of all the joy in the present despite what life throws at us busy working moms.
OH, I don't have the journal. I just went through the online lessons. I loved it and got many ideas. One thing I missed - on the page with the sample greetings, there was no BIRTHDAY calligraphy. Since I plan to make lots of Birthday cards for the young kids at our church (with bunnies, seals, unicorns, puppies, birdies, zebras, elephants & giraffes), I was looking forward to having it. (Yes, I can do it myself, but a pre drawn one would have been extra helpful.)
I like all the quotes and the flourishing are beautiful too.
