014: Permission to Take a Break

Episode 14 Permission to Take a Break

One of the best gifts you can give yourself is permission to take a break. We’re often taught that consistency is the “key” to everything. But sometimes you can see the biggest benefits and personal breakthroughs from simply giving yourself time to recharge and rest.

In this episode, I talk about a break that I took this summer and why taking a break can be so challenging for most people. I give some ideas of things you might need to take a break from in your life whether it be relationships, a project you're working on, social media or anything else that is leaving you feeling drained.

You’ll also learn the 5 benefits that I discovered from taking a break and why sometimes it’s essential to take a breather, be present with your family so you can come back better than when you left.

What you’ll find in this episode:

  • The things you might need to take a break from
  • Why it’s often hard to take a break
  • How taking a break was the right thing for me to do
  • 5 benefits of taking a break
  • Why you need to listen to your soul and your needs
